    Default Harley Nightstick

    I understand that the Harley Nightstick is a SuperTrapp slipon for the 2010 FLHX with 10 disks installed. If there is no change to the intake (air cleaner) does the ECM need to be retuned to use this muffler? I can't seem to get a straight answer from the local dealers. Some shops say use as is while others say you must retune. Any thoughts?

    If you run the pipe as it comes out of the box, no other changes need to be made.

    What if you add 4 discs to this product for a little more sound? Would you have to remap?

    Got a Nightstick, Stage I and a download . Took it out for the first long ride this afternoon. It has some good volume at WOT, but idle it's weak, and it has NO bass. It's all crackle. I'm pretty disappointed, I'm glad it was cheap. My buddy's '09 with Rineharts is faster and sounds DEEP.The bigger bummer is that the outlet of the stock header is 1-3/4". One outlet as opposed to two 1-3/4" outlets like the '09's and the 2010 bikes with 2-1-2's. The "performance pipe" is really more restrictive than the duals. Wonderful

    An "open" end cap may provide a sound more to your liking.

    Normally;
    More discs, more flow, more sound

    Less discs, less flow, less sound
