2:1 vs 2:2

I've settled on Supertrapp as a replacement for my current V&H exhaust system but am having trouble deciding on which way to go. Here's what I'd like to know: which setup would offer better performance and be quieter?

2:1 Supermeg or True Duals w/Fatshots?

Bike is an '08 FLHX.

Good question;
Our 2:1 is pretty quiet by 'industry' standards. Performance wise is by far the best choice.
True Duals, just by design, seperating the exhaust pulses, increases noise over the stock head pipe. Perfomance wise, true duals are more for looks than anything. The stock head pipe will provide a slightly better/broader spread of power over the duals, as well as being quieter.

It's personal preference, but I would go with the 2:1, start with 16-17 discs and go from there.
