    Default Question on VMAX

Just bought a 1995 VMAX w/supertrapp exhaust. Don't laugh at me here but it is WAY too loud for my taste. Can I simply remove a few discs from each side without messing with the carbs?

That's a pretty open ended question, first would be; Is there anything else done to the bike? Jetting, airbox/filter mods/etc?

How many discs are on it?

Here's a copy of the instructions, take a look and let us know if you have any other questions.

There (was) 20 discs total on each side. K&N air filters installed. I'm not sure if it was "jetted" or not, but the seller did mention that the bike was put on a dyno at one time. I already went ahead and removed 10 discs from each side, drove the bike about 50 miles or so, and it seems to be running ok so far and it's quieter. I'd like to remove a few more discs to quiet it down a little more, but I can live with the sound level now if it's not recommended.

Try taking a few more out, if it runs ok-then odds are-it's ok.

Any time, good luck with it and ride safe.
