Exclamation My Super Trapp is eating itself

    Hello all,
I have a Super Trapp slip on over ceramic coated pipes on my Buell M2 Cyclone. Because of the vibration, the retaining screw that holds the internal canister in place is eatiing a channel through the muffler. It's chewed it long enough that the canister now pluggs the muffler. Any suggestions on a fix? Anyone else experience this?

    Not a problem normally?

I am assuming you mean the screw that holds the core assembly in place?
Not understanding how if loose it is 'plugs the muffler'

Those things vibrate a lot, but sounds like your is more than most? Check engine mounts, etc for loose/worn components?

    Default A little clarification

Because of vibration, the screw has cut a channel which allows the internal canister to move out and plug the muffler.

A picture would be helpful, maybe you should contact us via email with some pictures.
The core has a locator on the inlet end that slides into the inlet, it overlaps quite a bit?
