    Default Stock Indian Chief Exhaust

I have a 2000 Indian Chief with a performance core I bought from the dealership. I am running a S+S 561 cam with a K/N air filter. My question is how many discs should I run with an open end cap or the closed end cap? I still have the stock core along with performance core. Does Super Trapp still make the stock Indian (logo) muffler bodies? Trying to keep the stock look with the fish tail end. Thanks for any help.

Default Number of Discs on stock Indian Chief Exhaust

The exhaust you're asking about is our part number 027-2149 and the retail price is $153.70 and we do have some in stock.

You have part number 628-21502 which came with 6 discs. You can either add an open end cap or, try adding 10 discs. We sell disc packs if you need more.

It's somewhat of an open-ended question you're asking as we don't have your bike here and don't know exactly how it's running, but the above should give you a good start.

    Good luck and have fun!

Thanks for getting back to me. I am already trying 10 discs and open end cap on the performance core. I noticed that the packing for the stock core is covered with fiber glass cloth while the performance core packing is just fiber glass. The glass is about a half inch thick; can this still be purchased for the that core?

    Default Packing

Like most things, it's just because it's chagned over the years. It's all still available through us. Your best bet would probably be to take a look at our web store.
