can i remove the baffel/endcap that bolts over the last disk? IDS2 race core

i have the ids2 race core currently on my klx 300r and i want it louder i put in all 18 disks still not loud enough... i read somewhere that people remove that cap the gets bolted on over the last disk when you put it togeather... can i do this without hurting anything? or should i just leave it at 18 disks?

If you remove the end cap the discs no longer have a purpose. So just go ahead and remove the whole disc assembly. You would than be running the "flow of the core". Keep in mind if your jetting is not correct that you may be in a lean condition AND the muffler is no longer "spark arrested" without the closed end-cap.
