I have a 2002 400ex all stock except k&n air filter. In a deal of used parts was a supertrapp slip on pipe part # 027-2801 with spark arrestor T-100 or 102 stamped on it. was told it was for the 400ex. will this pipe work and if so what is the best # of discs for all around sport trail riding? also is this pipe repackable?

The muffler body P/N 027-2801 was/is utilized in three different applications;
P/N 833-3201, Race system, Honda 200X '83-85 (discontinued)
P/N 833-3350, Honda ATC 350X '85-87
P/N 100-3350, Muffler assembley for TCR (Tom Carlson Racing) EX350

The muffler will work IF you can adapt it to your machine. Start with six discs for tuning purposes. Yes, the core assembly is removable to service the packing.

what is the best way to get this thing apart to repack it? for some reason i decided to take it apart but that hasent happened yet. all I have done is bust the tack welds off the nuts on the inside ( not a prob if I can get it apart to fix ) i Have used a can of blaster and tapped it with a hammer and nothing. what next??

Besides friction there are only two methods of securing the core assembly in the muffler body. 1) Button head screws on the outside of the body towards the rear of the muffler.
2) A small pin inserted in a hole drilled in the inlet of the body/core (under clamp). Core removal can be difficult the longer the muffler is used without a servicing due to exhaust residue build-up and/or corrosion. A good penetraing lubricant like PB Blaster, a little heat and a lot of patience & persistence can usually prevail.

Are you saying that that part is still available to be purchased to replace a damaged muffler body?
