Default 2000 FXD bracket to master cyl. clearance

    Hi,

I've got a '00 FXD with a Supermeg that I've run off and on for the last few years. I noticed just recently that the bracket is contacting the rear brake master cylinder cover. I know previously that the clearance between the two has been tight (1/8"), but never to where they touched. Seeing as how it's a rubber-mounted motor that exhaust bracket obviously shakes around a lot. I was just wondering if other Dynas of a similar year (99-05) have had clearance issues there.

As a side note, I am very happy with the Supermeg both performance and sound-wise. I am running 26 disks with the closed end cap on a fairly healthy 98" motor. I've gotten compliments from people riding with me and neighbors as well.

    Thanks,
    Sean

With age, check all rubber mounts they tend to wear and get sloppy.
Glad you like the pipe, thank you!

The front engine mount has ~3,000 miles on it (Predator by Vibra-technics) and the rear o.e.m. mount, which I just removed and inspected, has a little more sag than a new mount.
