Default Need Baffles for the Indian

Purchased a 2000 Indian Chief, only to find the original exhaust had been gutted and the only thing inside are 3- 3" steel washers attached to an "L" shaped bracket. Needless to say throttle response & gas milage is horrible..Guys on the Indian forum told me this is "The Place" to fix the exhaust and get the bike running properly..Any help wpuld be greatly appreciated.....Joe

We may have something for you, to be certain however; there is a part number stamped on the inlet of the muffler-right under the clamp. Get that number. We can identify exactly what you have and go from there.
    Thanks.

Without dropping the entire exhaust the best I can make the numbers out are 027 -2140 ? Hoping that's correct...Thanks Joe

We're not showing a muffler body by that part number. The OEM system we supplied to Indian used a muffler body with the P/N 027-2155. We also offered a replacement performance slip-on, P/N 128-21600, which has the muffler body P/N 027-2161 (still offered).
A replacement performance core, with packing can be acquired via P/N's (041-2161 & 004-2153).
