Hi, I have a 2001 softail with true dual headpipes and the 3" IDS fishtail slip ons. The motor is 97 inch big bore with street port and SS570 Cam.

What would be the best combination of disks / end cap to achieve the best performance? I like it quiet, but don't want to choke it off too much.

We have not done testing with your particular combination; however 10-12 discs should be a good starting point for tuning.

Assume this is with closed end cap...yes?

I figured you may not have tested the same combo, but probably it will have similar characteristics to a typical 95inch with cam and head.
