reducrd top end

I just installed a set of 3" slip ons onto an evolution engine that is concidered a mild stage three. I fit slip ons over 1 3/4" drag pipes and left the overall pipe length at 41''. It seems I have lost some top end roll on speed and seems to restricted. would i shorten over all pipe length to gain top end?

If you have SuperTrapp slip ons with the disc assembly try adding more discs for more flow.
