    Default Supertrapp Stout 4"

What is the performance advantage in using the Supertrapp Stout 4" on a 2009 ultra (FLHTCU). Most of the printed information is pointed at the 2010 and after. There are no illustrations of the 2009 model, does it have also a tapered core as illustrated? Believe it or not, I have not been able to see one in the entire Detroit area.

    Your response is appreciated.

The Stout cores for the pre-2010 models are NOT conical/tapered as in the 2010 and later units. The pre-2010 models use a 2.5" chambered core. You can expect a 5-10% power increase over stock.

As I read the promotional material I was really impressed by the figures and really wanted to know what it would do for my application. I really wanted something with basically a deeper sound, but also had the best bang for the buck as in power increase.

Keep in mind the performance numbers AND sound levels will differ when mating the later model pipes with a non-catalyst equipped OEM headpipe AND vice versa.
