2009 Ultra w/ power duals and SE FatShots

I have SE race tuner, Stage 1 air filter, V+H Pwerduals, and SE FatShots.
I have 10 discs on both sides(that is how it came) w/ open end. No CAT..
My question is there a way to increase sound, Louder. I did not know the specs of these until after. The guy at the dealer talked me into them. They perform well. Just was looking for a Louder sound. And if any changes, will it have to be retuned? Thanks

You could add more discs, but will probably loose botom end as well.
How long have they been on the bike? Typically they will get a slight bit louder with some time on them, but very slight?

I have had them for at least a year, a couple thousand miles. Do I need to retune if adding disc? How many disc? What do you mean by losing Bottom End?

no re-tune should be required.

Bottom end; low RPM torque.

Those mufflers work best with your bike with 10 discs and the closed cap=more backpressure.

So if I want the best out of what I have, I need to change from open end to closed end cap, and stick with the same 10 disc.

Yes to get better bottom/mid range power, the closed cap will work better.
That doesn't help with increasing sound however-sorry.

Question could you install the Open End Cap and just put one or two discs, would this give you more sound and still have the botton/mid range power??

Yes, an open end cap flows for 10-12 discs.

Ok, I have a 09 Ultra No/Cat running a 96" motor with SE 255 Cams , SE A/C & SE Fatshotz with 16 discs and closed end caps,,the bike runs Great,, If I go with open end caps (looking for more sound) about how many discs will I need and will I have the same low/mid power that I have now?


Also will I need shorter screws?

6 per side w/open end cap, no need for shorter screws.
