    Default Correct number of discs.

I recently purchased a pair of FatShots slip-ons from a friend. He had them on a 2009 HD RoadGlide. They have 16 discs and open end caps in each. Will they be compatible with my bike (2010 HD Electraglide Ultra Classic FLHTCU) in their present configuration? It is a completely stock 96 inch.

The number of discs sounds excessive, you could easily reduce by half; however do NOT expect the same sound level due to the catalyst in your OEM headpipe (no matter how many discs you have installed).

Thanks for the info. I'm not as concerned with "sound" as I am with correct application. I've heard some discussion as to overheating with the incorrect number of discs.

Running 8 or 16 discs per muffler should not cause a heat issue.
