I recently installed a Screaming Eagle Nightstick for my 2010 FLHX I went on a long ride and when I came back I noticed the end where the disks and cap are was discolored (heat blue) at the chrome is this normal.

I recently installed a Screaming Eagle Nightstick for my 2010 FLHX I went on a long ride and when I came back I noticed the end where the disks and cap are was discolored (heat blue) at the chrome is this normal.
I would suggest contacting your dealer and asking them about the discoloring. The "tune kit" may resolve the issue.
I have talked to my dealer and they are checking why it would discolor at the disk end and are suggesting it may be a bad chrome job if you like when I can I will send a picture if it is a bad chrome job what is the warranty cover as this is a new slip on.
First, the Nightstick is a HD brand product and HD handles any warranty claims. Second, chrome doesn't discolor because it's bad, it discolors due to heat. ALL chrome begins to discolor between 800-900 degrees Fahrenheit.
