Your suggestion has been passed on to R & D and the Sales Departments.
Try adding a couple discs at a time to provide more "top end" flow.
Or go with the "open" end-cap keeping in mind it flows equivalent of 10-12 discs.

if loosening the T-Bolt clamp at the headpipe collector and muffler inlet and removing the bolts attaching the bracket doesn't do it, you will most likely need to remove the whole system from the...
I would try swapping the clamps from side to side and see if the issue repeats itself on the other side. If that doesn't resolve the issue try swapping muffler bodies. The swaps should point to the...
Sounds like you needed the extra flow of the open end cap. Stainless steel turns a gold color when exposed to heat. Gap between discs should be .023".

Yes.
Adding discs will provide more exhaust flow.
Excessive exhaust residue is usually an indication you may be running a little rich. You may want to consider adding 2-3 discs for more exhaust flow.
Yes, plus you'll reach a point where (by adding discs and/or removing the disc assembly completely) the catalyst in the headpipe will become the restrictive factor in your exhaust system.

Can you provide the HD Screaming Eagle part number?
These should be 4" discs.

That would be a good way to approach it.
3-4 db's on the first question.
Either/or on the second.
If the core assembly and disc assembly w/end cap were installed you could add 3-6 discs during tuning.
Just don't get caught up in...
The open end cap is equal to 10-12 discs vs. the closed.
