View Full Version : Road King with a carb

Hi -

I just ordered a new set of fatshots for my 98 Road King.

It is carburated. Has a screaming Eagle air cleaner, a Crane Fireball 310 cam with a 310 intake duration and a 316 exhaust duration and is jetted for this.

I am replacing a set of free flow mufflers and want to tune the new mufflers to be as quiet as possible but not loose the performance. I am using the stock header pipes.

How many discs for each side do I start with?

Thank you

As quiet as possible-8 and 6.

Use liberal amounts of anti seize on the threads.

You will be very pleased both in performance and sound.

WOW the fatshots are great! They look great and sound fantastic
after numerous test rides I ended up with 10 and 8 discs, is this ok or should there be a differance of 3 discs? I'll take some pics, let me know what kind shots you would like.
Thanks for the help and a great product
P.S The neighbors like them too at 5:00 AM.when I leave for work.
