I have a Honda XL600R with a Supertrapp MCR 3600 P. I can't get it to separate from the mid pipe. Removed clamp, can't find a locking screw holding the inner baffle to the outer can. I did manage to remove the end cap. Any suggestions?

I'm unclear as to which exhaust you have on your Honda. Here are links to the Instructions for our IDS2 and our Aluminum Racing Series depending which pipe you have. Removal instructions are included, so take a look there and that should hopefully help you.

It turns out my Supertrapp is a much older version of your 813-3601 Aluminum Racing Series. I found another one with a decent midpipe on ebay and between the two mufflers I should be able to salvage enough parts to make one complete muffler. I have not been able to separate the older setup, tried heat and PB Blaster, heat and Kroil, and alot of mallet work to no avail.

Can I buy a replacement retaining pin from Supertrapp? The one that goes under the clamp.

Thanks for your help,

Rob

The retaining pin is not really neccessary on a muffler that is also held in place by a mounting tab to the the frame. It can't go anywhere.
But send your address to; sales@supertrapp.com if you really want one, we'll stick it in the mail for you.
Thanks.
