Hi there!
I saw in your excellent website that it's 'back by popular demand' your part # 725-71235 for Buell X1.

I'm writing from Italy, and I own a 2002 Buell X1 Lightning; I'd like to install this pipe, but so far I only found it in shops in the States with 2.5" inlet... my bike has the original headers with I think a 2" collector. The type you're selling now what collector diameter do they have?

I also had a look at the mounting instructions sheet in the web site, which explains how to remove the stock pipe and replace it, but it only specifies 'U.S. model' and not the diameter, I don't know if the U.S. model stock pipe has a bigger diameter than the european model...

Can you help please?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. What's part #825-71230?? An old version of this same exhaust?

P/N 725-71235 has an inlet of 2.5" and yes, P/N 825-71230 is a discontinued model of the application.

Thanks for your reply.
So, is there an exhaust like # 725-71235 with an inlet that fits my stock headers?
Or what other alternatives do I have? i.e. using a 'sleeve' to fill the gap between the 2" header and the 2.5" exhaust inlet?!?!:eek:

We do not offer an application for the 2" pipes. The sleeve (reducer/adaptor) seems to be a workable option.
I would suggest doing a little more research with Buell regarding "other" potential exhaust differences like mounting/routing between the European and US models.
