Hi,
Just managed to score a new set of old school pipes for an 86 Harley FXR and they look sweet. They are part number 4MSS-71340 and I'm wondering what the part number (and availability) would be for a set of matching heat shields.

If I cannot find them then I am happy to make a set up, but would prefer to OEM version over the work involved in making my own ones.

Cheers

Graeme

Most of the stainless systems did not have shields-that one included, you are on your own to fab some up.

Thanks for that...

Quick question. if the pipes are 1.75 inches diameter (for example) are shields normally from the same diameter or are they actually a size larger than the pipe they are covering? It will help me to order the right pipe stock.

I have a TIG welder so adding brackets etc should not be too hard. Once i learn to weld stainless...lol

Cheers

Our current 1.75" headpipes have heatshields made from 2.0" tubing.
