P/N 128-65117 and the SE P/N 65115-10 are NOT the same. P/N 128-65117 are less restrictive resulting in more exhaust sound.

Is it possible to change the baffle in the 65115-10 or is it welded in? thanks

Both models use muffler bodies belonging to the Kerker family with the 3 hole end cap attachment. The cores are interchangable between several models.

So can I put the cores for the 128-65117 into the 65115-10's? and if I could would that make them idenitcal except for badging? thanks. I bought some 65115's and have not recieved them yet, but i am starting to think they might sound exactly like stock mufflers due to the cat in the head pipes. I do not want loud but something a little beefier than stock. On my 04 EG I ran Supertrapp 2:1's and liked the sound (10 disc open end cap) but want this to be toned down just a little, somewhere between that sound and stock would be ideal.

The core assembley, with packing, is P/N 041-6517 ... MSRP $65.00 each. These cores should provide the sound you are looking for.

In case anyone is thinking of doing this, I just did it and it does make the 65115-10's sound very nice. not loud just nice deep mellow sound much improved over the stock sound of the 65115-10's which was an improvement over stock.
