When removing the discs and just using the open end cap, are the tightening specs the same even though there is not a sandwich of discs to compress? I plan on removing the 12 discs per muffler and trying the open end caps only. I won't be using a torque wrench and will be going by the two full turns after the bolt makes contact info. Don't want to screw anything up. It's on an '09 Night Rod Special with no mods other than a SE high flow air filter. Hopefully the open cap being equal to 10 discs will be close to optimum with the 1250 cc motor at 450 ft above sea level. Any advice is appreciated.

Two full turns should be sufficient (don’t forget the anti-size on the screws).
