I have what i see is a older bike compared to what i see in the forum, but here is the question. I just put in a ultima 100" motor and am running the stock muffler setup with supertrapp slipons. It seems to working ok but notice looked a little lean. I have not pulled them apart yet to count the discs i Have. So while I do have it a part do you have any Idea how many I should start with? It is open end cap now.

Also my brother also installed a new motor in his, same 100" ultima, but he is running a supermeg. He had it tuned for a 124" s&s motor which he pulled out. Should it run about the same, also he would like to make the bike a little quieter. If he adds the closed cap system what is the starting point he would use. He tried with the 124 and never could get it to run with the closed cap system on the supermeg 2 into 1 . Thanks sloridr:(

If you are running the stock OEM crossover headpipe, start with 6 disc on the right & half as many on the left (w/open end-cap).
Your brother should start with 16-18 discs on the 2:1 (w/closed end-cap).
